NEWS ALERT: Join us for our special limited season of Live from The Space Shed: The Future
The Space Shed is back! And looking forward to THE FUTURE!
Join UNSA’s Director of Human Spaceflight Operations Jon Spooner and his best friend (and UNSA’s first astronaut) Mini Jon, as they return to the virtual Space Shed for a limited series of live broadcasts. Along with some very special guests, they’ll be sharing stories from the past that will help us look forwards with hope and reckless optimism, so we can all work together on creating the best possible version of the future.
In Live from The Space Shed: The Future Jon, Mini Jon and their guests will discuss topics as varied as The Moon, 20 years of continuous habitation on the ISS and finishing the year with a Christmas Special and a big goodbye to 2020. Each broadcast will be beaming out LIVE on UNSA’s YouTube channel – check out details below. We look forward to seeing you there!
Wednesday 30th September, 2pm – The Moon
A special Live From The Space Shed double release day, in celebration of International Podcast Day. On the podcast, we’ll be launching a previously unreleased interview with Apollo 15 astronaut Al Worden, who died earlier this year. In the accompanying live Broadcast, we’ll discuss the achievements of the Apollo missions and answer questions about future Moon missions and deeper space exploration.
Friday 27th November, 2pm – Celebrating 20 Continuous Years of Humans in Space
November marks 20 years of continuous habitation on board the International Space Station. Speaking to an astronaut who has lived aboard the ISS, we’ll explore its history and answer questions on what the future holds for the ISS and low earth orbit missions.
Friday 18th December, 2pm – Christmas Special
Christmas Special! 2020 has been rubbish. We wave goodbye to it and look forward to a (hopefully!) better 2021 with some very special guests.
